Making public comments

We value your comments and have created several options to ensure your voice is heard.

Members of the public may provide written public comment on a specific agenda item or on items not on the agenda (general public comment) by submitting comments via email to PublicComment@smud.org or by mailing or bringing physical copies to the meeting. Email is not monitored during the meeting. Your written comments will not be read into the record but will be provided to the Board and placed into the record of the Board or Committee Meeting if received within 2 hours after the meeting ends.
Members of the public may make verbal comments by completing a sign-up form at the table outside the meeting room before or during the meeting and handing it to SMUD Security or by using the “Raise Hand” feature in Zoom (or pressing *9 while dialed into the telephone/toll-free number) during the meeting at the time public comment is called.
Board and Committee meetings are conducted in a hybrid format with virtual attendance available via Zoom, and the link to the meeting will be included on that meeting’s agenda. Members of the public may log into Zoom; however, functionality will be limited to listen- or view-only unless participants use the “Raise Hand” feature during the public comment period as noted above.
