Power theft is a crime. It can create safety hazards, and it costs money. At SMUD, our customers are our owners so we all have a stake in preventing power theft.

If you suspect someone is stealing power, please report it:

Call the Power Theft Hotline: 1-916-732-6594.
Email SMUD.

If you feel there is an imminent safety issue, please call 911.
