Accounting Technician 

Performs technical and accounting operations work in processing and reviewing transactions in areas such as accounts receivables, contracts administration, cost analysis, accounts payable, bank reconciliations and financial reporting. Prepares spreadsheets, performs general business calculations, reconciles and clears general ledger accounts and prepares routine journal entries.

Qualifications: Equivalent to completion of sufficient formal or informal education to provide the necessary knowledge and skills that cover basic accounting principals including reconciliations, financial record keeping and mathematics.

Salary: $31.51 - $38.54 hourly

Market Research Specialist

Assists in the design and implementation of primary and secondary market research studies and collects marketing and customer data that provides information to form the basis of SMUD's strategic marketing policies, oversees assigned survey projects, builds and manages complex sample databases for the department.

Qualifications: High school diploma/equivalent and college level courses in marketing, business administration, economics, statistics, or a related field. 3 to 5 years experience conducting market research projects and project management.

Salary: $93,516 - $123,843 annually

Customer Service Representative

Receives, investigates, analyzes, and responds to customer inquiries regarding their electric service, bills and programs; provides a variety of information to customers about their electric service; enrolls eligible customers into special electric service programs/accounts; reviews and grants routine payment arrangements for and/or amortizes debts with customers.

Qualifications: Equivalent to completion of sufficient formal and/or informal education to provide necessary knowledge and skills.

Salary: $29.71 - $32.79 hourly

Safety Coordinator

Coordinates the development, implementation and promotion of the Behavioral Accident Prevention Process. Promotes SMUD behavior-based safety process and related activities to reduce occupational injuries and illnesses.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by college level course work in management and/or safety practices or a related field. 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience assisting in implementation of safety or related programs/processes.

Salary: $103,188 - $136,697 annually

Business Technology Analyst

Provides analytical support to assigned business units by applying business and information technology solutions to a broad range of business unit processes and applications. Functions as a specialist in systems analysis, application development, or application support. Performs table configuration and maintenance of software systems used to support business applications pertinent to the business unit.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 3 to 5 years of experience developing/supporting information or business technology systems.

Salary: $98,217 - $130,062 annually
